Established in 1989, Fidelity Capital Markets (FCM)is the institutional trading arm of Fidelity Investments and a unit of Fidelity's Institutional Brokerage Group. FCM executes trades on behalf of over 1,000 U.S. based institutional clients; over 300 correspondent broker/dealer firms representing over 3 million brokerage accounts; Fidelity Brokerage retail customers, serving over 2 million customers; 4000 registered investment advisors; and third -party plan administrators. The Institutional Brokerage Group provides clients with integrated technology, brokerage and investment services, business development services, and dedicated operations/client services that help them manage and grow their business. The Fidelity Capital Markets central trading application is an internally developed, FIX compliant system which electronically connects traders to their institutional clients via various vendor, private virtual, and internet network and integration solutions. Fortress provides several options for electronic access to the FCM desk and executing marketplaces and is strategically positioned to accomodate present and future Straight Through Processing requirements.
