FIX Algorithmic Schema - Feedback Deadline Extended

The FPL Algorithmic Working Group created a draft algorithmic schema that allows algorithmic providers to describe their algorithmic order types and parameters via XML. It also provides an optional foundation for dynamic rendering of algorithmic order entry screens, and an optional foundation for validation during order entry time, ahead of order submission.

The draft standard for algorithmic orders released a few weeks ago has been downloaded over 400 times. Based on the large response, the comment period ahead of the pilot-testing phase has been extended through the end of April.

An updated XML file set is immediately available to FPL members who are logged in at: http://www.fixprotocol.org/documents/3303/algo_schema_documents.zip.

Non FPL members (or any member having any log-in difficulty) may obtain the updated file set by emailing a request to: . Files will then be sent back directly as an email attachment. The write-up on the new standard is available on the publicly accessible archive: http://www.fixprotocol.org/working_groups/algowg/documents.

Technical comments and interested pilot testers may reach the working group directly by emailing:

Thanks very much.

Sincerely,

FPL Algorithmic Working Group
