Hi,

With the release of FIX44 we moved from DTD to Schema. The FIX50 schema can be found at http://www.fixprotocol.org/documents/3074/fix-5-0-fixmlschema_20070103.zip.

A lot of useful material can be found at http://www.fixprotocol.org/specifications/fix4.4fixml which discusses the schema structure etc.

If you have a tool that specifically requires a DTD you could generate one as the FIX schema is generated by running some xslt against the FIX repository and we recently made the repository freely available. The repository is an XML data model for the FIX standard.
