upgrade to FIX 4.4

i know there is 7 vols in documentation. I am still new to fix so I would like to any particular in FIX documents is just for upgrading from 4.2 to 4.4? any "step by step" document in fixprotocol.org?

or I have to finish the whole 7 volume?

any idea or suggestion would be greatly appreciate.
