Thanks for your immidiate response. I don't have much clues regarding the 4.1J specs / proposed.
The "section 4. FIX VERSIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS" of FAQ section "JAPANFIX Dec 2002" (which I downloaded from a link specified in the User group)where it says---
"The 4.1 version of the protocol was published prior to establishment of the Japan FIX Steering Committee. The Japan FIX steering Committee published 4.1J version of the protocol with additional specification for use in Japan".
From this I guessed may be what it means is that its an extension of 4.1 and there might be a separate spec/schema/DTD existing.
In the same section mentioned above also mentions "The version 4.2 version of the protocol contains almost all of the extensions included in 4.1J" , since I don't have any clues about what's there in 4.1J so I m not sure what all is included and what all is left out.
Also, after reading the case study pusblished in the Cameron FIX website which says "Most of Japan’s participants use FIX4.1 or 4.1J" I was wondering if one party already using FIX 4.1J then can it effectively talk to other party using 4.2 version or not.
I will be really grateful if you can please help me to know more about the 4.1J.
