Stephane,

In some cases a basket/program may be sent from a buy-side to a sell-side where the buy-side may not be interested in the details of the way the order is processed - they may only be interested in the fact that the overall order has been accepted.

As an example, if the basket has been 'bid for' the buy-side may not actually care how the order is handled, since the sell-side is taking on the risk of execution.
