FIX 4.4 - additions and steps to implement

I am interested in knowing the additions to FIX 4.4 as compared to earlier versions..especially in the post trade space.
Also if a buy side/ sell side firm is considering the implementation of FIX , is there a guide that tells them abt the procedure to do so?
If anyone knows abt any documentation on these pl. let me know abt it.
