FPL Nominated for Operations Management Award

This is a reminder that FPL has been nominated by Operations Management for the “Best Utility Technology” award. The nomination is in recognition of the evolving and expanding value delivered by the FIX Adapted for STreaming (FAST) Protocol(sm) that was developed by the FPL Market Data Optimisation Working Group in 2005, in response to industry demand. The FAST Protocol(sm) optimises communication in the electronic exchange of financial data, delivering an efficient data compression algorithm that radically reduces message size and bandwidth utilisation, without negatively impacting latency. FPL is one of three nominees within the category of “Best Utility Technology” and the winner will be announced at the 5th Operations Management Dream Team Awards Reception on September 27th 2006.
