Join us for FPL Americas Technology Focus Day 2006 - October 26th at the New York Mercantile Exchange

FPL is proud to announce that the FPL Americas Technology Focus Day 2006 will take place on October 26th at the New York Mercantile Exchange, New York.
This month, FPL will be launching FIX 5.0, providing a significant level of additional functionality to existing versions of the Protocol. We would like you invite you to attend the FPL Americas Technology Focus Day to develop a detailed understanding of the capabilities of FIX 5.0. With 22 separate extensions, providing improved support across the board in areas such as Algorithmic Trading, Regulatory Compliance, Post-Trade exchange Traded Derivatives and Market Data Optimization, FIX 5.0 is set to have a radical impact upon current electronic trading capabilities.
Additionally, 5.0 includes the major new development of a Transport Independence framework which decouples the FIX session layer from the application layer. This simplifies upgrading existing FIX systems to use business functionality introduced in later versions, lowering the investment required. It also allows FIX to be used with a wider audience of participants from the most demanding low latency users to those requiring massive scalability.
