Fix Monitoring Solution

18 Jun 2003 1:44PM ET We are a buy side institution using fix systems to trade european equities electronically.
We are looking for a fix monitoring solution to monitor FIX traffic between our counterparties and ourselves.
The solution should be able to maintain and check simple rolling totals over various time windows.
We would prefer an in band solution that does not involve the insertion of a full fix engine in the
message stream - but simply monitors the fix traffic as it passes - maintaining running risk totals (and possibly cut the connection in the event of a limit breach)
Any suggestions on where to look for this sort of lightweight monitoring solution would be very
much appreciated.
