Russell Abramson

Russell Abramson
Executive Director, J.P. Morgan

Russell Abramson is Head of eTrading Strategy for the Americas and is responsible for J.P. Morgan’s eTrading strategy for the Futures & Options business. He is also a member of the Sales & Marketing team. His responsibilities include developing a coherent OMS/EMS agenda, furthering the use of the FIX Protocol, continuing the algorithmic trading agenda within the Futures & Options business.

During his ten years at J.P. Morgan Russell has been mandated with electronic trading systems for the derivatives business. This includes algorithmic trading, FIX, straight-through processing, back office integration and order management systems (OMS).

Russell also serves as First Vice President of the Futures Industry Association, IT Division and is a member of the FPL Derivatives Committee.

Russell has an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Baruch College.

Alberto Alvarez is the Founder and Managing Partner at Financial Technology Group - Fintec Group, a full-service Chicago based Independent Introducing Broker, catering to the spectrum of futures and commodities clients throughout Latin America and the US and specializing in hedging solutions for producers, importers and exporters of agricultural products.

Mr. Alvarez has over 30 years of experience in the trading industry serving as a Managing Partner of Alaron Latin America, Owner and Managing Director of Strategic Trading, Inc., Owner and Managing Director of AmeriSecurities Capital Corp., and as Co-Founder, Senior Vice President and Branch Manager of Shearson Lehman American Express, Latin America.

Mr. Alvarez holds a BA in Political Science with Minor in Economics from University of Florida.

Andrés has experience of developing advanced projects related to Trading Systems (Matching Engines, FIX Gateways and Market Data Distribution, DMA) and Post-Trading Systems (depository, clearing & settlement and CCP).

He also has experience developing SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions for Brokerage houses systems, integrating straight-through processing front to back office. Some of his clients include: BBVA, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Larraín Vial, BICE, BANCOESTADO, CORPCapital, SCOTIA Bank among others.

Andrés’ knowledge area covers: Fixed Income, Cash and FX, Equities, Derivatives, Financial products for Brokerage houses and Mutual Funds, Santiago local Financial Market Products, Straight-through processing systems, real time market data systems, FIX Protocol.

Scott Atwell is the Manager of FIX Trading and Connectivity for American Century Investments, a leading investment manager committed to delivering superior investment performance and building long-term client relationships since 1958. Serving investment professionals, institutions, corporations and individual investors, American Century Investments offers a broad array of products across a variety of investment disciplines. With offices in New York, Mountain View, Calif. and Kansas City, Mo., the company manages more than $90 billion in assets through mutual funds, institutional separate accounts, commingled trusts and subadvisory accounts.

Mr. Atwell developed American Century’s FIX system providing FIX connectivity to virtually all of the brokers used for their equity trading worldwide. He currently serves as Co-chairperson of the Global Steering Committee for FIX Protocol Limited (FPL), the non-profit organization which manages the FIX Protocol. He has served as Co-chairperson of the FIX Global Technical Committee from 1997 through 2005 and actively participates in several other FIX committees and working groups.

Scott Atwell Daniella Baker

Daniella joined FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) in 2006 and is currently the organisation's Marketing and Communications Manger responsible for the development and world-wide deployment of FPL's marketing and educational initiatives. Daniella started her career as a marketing assistant for Cadbury Trebor Basset before becoming a consultant focused on marketing and customer driven initiatives for Deutsche Post Consult. Following this appointment Daniella took a position in the City of London with J.P. Morgan where she worked within a variety of project management, communications and sales roles. Daniella holds a BSc Management and Administration Degree from Aston Business School, Birmingham, England.

  Alexis Arldt Camara Machado
IT/Electronic Desk Senior Manager, Banif Corretora de Valores e Cambio

Alexis Machado is currently working at Banif brokerage house as IT / Electronic Desk Senior Manager. His team supports the creation of trading algorithms, and specializes in the Brazilian retail market. It works with the Risk Committee of the brokerage house to help monitoring risk strategies during intraday / post trade.

Machado coordinates a team of systems solutions developers focused on automating the routines of Middle / Back Office. He began his career more than 10 years ago in pioneering projects that offered solutions tailor-made for internet banking portals using the Java programming language. In large financial institutions in Brazil developers worked with objects that facilitated integration between different legacies, in transparent and low-latency systems. Machado participated in designing a system of passive investment funds, where the creation of portfolios was fueled by third-party funds, requiring large implementation layer of integration between FI's and the emergence of a process of decision making for portfolio manager based on an algorithm to analyze the profitability for cash flow.

A Graduate in Computer Programming from the Catholic Pontificate University - PUC - Rio de Janeiro and Marketing University Helio Alonso - Rio de Janeiro.

Ismael Caram Ismael Caram
Operations Managing Director, Rosario Futures Exchange (ROFEX)

Ismael Caram currently serves as Operations Managing Director for Rosario Futures Exchange (ROFEX) the only demutualized and FIX compatible exchange in Argentina. He has 8 years’ experience in the derivatives industry, with expertise in trading and markets technology. Since 2002, he has been involved in all phases of the market growth, including the selection of ROFEX’s new trading platform and the implementation of DMA models.

Being aware of the latest tendencies from the international derivatives industry, Mr. Caram writes, speaks, and advises on Argentinean derivatives industry with focus on increasing liquidity and expanding local markets. His recent research includes a two-year study of market microstructure. He holds a BA degree in economics and a MA degree in finance from the University of Rosario, Argentina. He also attended the “Market Maker program” at Rosario Board of Trade.

  Marcos Carreira

Marcos Costa Santos Carreira is the Derivatives Products Officer at BM&FBovespa. He joined BVMF in 2010, after 16 years at Credit Suisse and Banco Garantia, where he worked as Brazil's Risk Manager and FX Options Trader. He graduated from Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica in 1993 as an Electronical Engineer.

Marcio Castro Marcio Castro

IT Officer, Trading Systems, BM&FBovespa

Marcio Augusto de Castro, 42, is IT Officer – Trading Systems and Post-Trading Systems and Market Data at BM&FBOVESPA, responsible for the matching engines MegaBolsa and GTS, as well as the Gateways for DMA, Order Entry and Market Data for the Exchange, and the post-trading systems, including depository, clearing & settlement and CCP. In his role, Marcio is heavily involved in FIX either for support and evolve the Exchange´s systems as well as the market participants: brokers, ISVs, DMA Providers, Market Data vendors and the buy-side.

Prior to BM&FBOVESPA, Marcio was the Professional Services Director at SunGard Treasury Systems for Asia Pacific region (2002), Head of Strategic Development at the ADX – Australian Derivatives Exchange (2000) and Principal System Engineer at IBM Brazil (1998).

Marcio is a graduate in Software Engineering (FASP) and Business Administration (FGV).

Jimmy Chung
IT Director of Architecture, Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC)

Jimmy is the IT Director of Architecture at Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC) and a senior Project Leader . He was responsible of the deployment architecture and product implementation of the high-performance, high-availability, low-latency trading system from Nasdaq-OMX for the Equities and Derivatives market and currently responsible of the IT implementation of the Market Integration Project between Colombia (Bolsa de Valores de Colombia) , Chile (Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago) and Peru (Bolsa de Valores de Lima) under FIX protocol language using FIX gateways to provide standard access to the Market.

Jimmy has been doing consulting work for more than 15 years before joining BVC in various types of industry such as Telecom, Finance, Clearing, Commodities, Transportation focused on the architecture and design of their core systems.

Jimmy has a degree in Computer Science at San Marcos University in Lima, Peru, Specialization studies in System Engineering at CICC in Tokyo, Japan, and Diploma studies in Finance and Exchange Operations in Bogota, Colombia.

Khushru Dadachanji

Khushru Dadachanji (K.D.) is the Head of Product Integration with Greenline Financial Technologies. In this role, KD oversees FIX initiatives at Greenline and at client engagements around the world. KD has worked extensively on FIX infrastructure integration and migration, FIX testing and certification process improvement and infrastructure assessment and monitoring to help clients develop and maintain world-class electronic trading operations. Key clients include futures, commodities, and equities exchanges, global broker-dealers, and buyside asset management firms.

With over 10 years of project management and electronic trading best practices, in addition to versatility of experience ranging from developer, tester, and analyst to certification specialist, KD is widely regarded for his in-depth financial technology expertise along with his dedication to client satisfaction. Mr. Dadachanji holds BS and MS in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma.

Drey has been with Bloomberg for over eight years and directly involved with Trading Systems for the last two and a half years. He has worked with Bloomberg in Brazil, Mexico and New York managing terminal sales and joined the new division to focus on electronic trading and OMS solutions for all of Latin America. Most recently, he has been involved with SSEOMS implementations at two key regional brokers –one being in Mexico and also with multiple banks and asset managers discussing integrations and automation of workflow.

Luis Faloppa is the Senior Equity Trader at Schroders Investment Management Brazil. Luis is responsible for a total book R$6 billion per year in the local Market.

Luis received his B.A. in Business Administration at Pontifícia Univerdade Católica de São Paulo Brasil in 2002 and an MBA in Derivatives at Bolsa de Mercadorias e Futuros/ Univerdidade de São Paulo in 2006.

In 2001 Luis joined SIM-Brazil and was responsible for developing their local equity trading desk. Before that Luis worked at Lloyds Bank PLC, as a back office analyst.

Michel Finzi

Michel Finzi joined RealTick in 2006, bringing more than 22 years of experience in the electronic trading and global brokerage industry to his role.  He started his career in 1988 at Instinet, where he held numerous senior management positions in the United States and in Europe until 2003.  Responsibilities included running institutional client P&L’s, developing international equity trading businesses, leading various technology groups and contributing to the development of a wide variety of electronic trading functionalities for both the buy-side and sell-side. Prior to joining Townsend Analytics, Mr. Finzi managed a number of private investments and consulted to both the buy side and sell side.  He is a graduate of the Ohio Wesleyan University.

 

Spiros Giannaros
Vice President, Sales, Americas, Charles River Development

Spiros Giannaros joined Charles River in 1999 as the firm emerged as a leader of compliance and order management solutions. Giannaros has been responsible to establishing a sales team, expanding global operations, and launching new products and service offerings. In his current capacity, Giannaros is responsible for revenue and operations in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, Giannaros chairs several product steering committees related to strategic initiatives. Prior to Charles River, Giannaros worked in product specialist and sales roles in the investment software division of Thomson Financial. Giannaros holds a BS in finance and marketing from Boston College.

Luis Gustavo Penteado graduated from Escola de Engenharia Maua with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and later with an Executive MBA in Finance from Insper. He is a Director responsible for the Capital Markets Vertical at Progress Software in Brazil, and deals mostly with Large Banks, Brokerages and Asset Management.

Kevin has over 20 years financial services industry experience and has initiated and implemented electronic trading technologies first at Robert Fleming Asset Management and then at Solomon Brothers.

Utilising his unique understanding and knowledge, Kevin has co-authored one of the world’s most performant FIX engines with his company Rapid Addition Limited, Rapid Addition specialise in product innovation in the FIX marketplace, offers a range of high performance FIX engines and tools which are used to advance the trading capabilities of firms globally. RA's clients currently include leading Stock Exchanges, buy-side and sell-side firms specialising in FIX.

Kevin is also currently Co-Chair of the FPL Global Technical committee and has been intimately involved in the technical development of FIX for over 10 years.

Rapid Addition recently launched www.electronicdealing.com, a free vault and editor for the production of FIX ATDL files, RA did this because it believes consistency of implementation of these files is critical to the success of FIX ATDL.

Scott Atwell Ricardo Kaufmann

Previously at Bulltick Mr. Kaufmann lead the creation and successful development the Full Service Brokerage division. He has extensive experience in Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Asset Management, with a career that spans over major international organizations including Prudential Securities Incorporated in Boston, Opportunity Asset management, Bank of America in Sao Paulo and, most recently, Bank Hapoalim in London.

Mr. Kaufmann is a frequent speaker at Fund Forums, Wealth management and Structured Products conferences in the U.S. and around Latin America, as well as a Structured Products and Investidor Institucional Magazine contributor.

Mr. Kaufmann holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics-Finance from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, and a Masters in business Administration from Sao Paulo University in Brazil. He also holds the Series 24, 7, and 63 licenses and is registered as a General Securities Principal with Bulltick LLC, a broker dealer member of FINRA and SIPC. In Brazil, Mr. Kaufmann is a Certified Investment Agent and a member of Ancor, the National Association of Broker Dealers of this country.

Carlos Kawall Leal Ferreira, 49, is the International Affairs Officer for BM&FBOVESPA S.A. - Securities, Commodities and Futures Exchange. PhD in Economics from Unicamp (Sao Paulo). He was the Secretary of National Treasury at the Ministry of Finance and CFO and Head of Capital Markets at BNDES (the government owned National Economic and Social Development Bank). Prior, he worked as chief economist for Citigroup in Brazil (1996-2004). He is also professor of economics at the Catholic University of Sao Paulo (currently on leave).
Alex Lamb

With over 13 years of experience in the trading technology space, Alex Lamb is SVP Business Development and Marketing for RTS Realtime Systems Inc., and a Board Member with global responsibility for developing the company’s commercial and exchange relationships. Before this, he was an independent consultant in the area of front, middle and back office systems for trading and brokerage firms.

Lamb has had senior management roles at 2 other major independent software vendors, as well as leading development of a high performance multi market trading and risk management system at a trading company. Prior to the time in technology, he was involved in commodity trading and clearing, helping establishing LIFFE, trading money markets, FX, exchange traded options and developing OTC derivative trading in the international financial markets.

Clecio Lima
Associate partner and Chief Technology Office, BTG Pactual


Clecio Lima is an associate partner and Chief Technology Officer of BTG Pactual. Prior to this, Clecio worked as an equities quantitative trader at UBS Japan and UBS Pactual Brazil. In his previous roles, he was responsible for developing statistical trading models for proprietary trading. He was also responsible for building technology infrastructure for high-frequency trading, helping to build a top market share in automated trading in Japan.

Clecio holds a BS in Mecatronics Engineering and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Tohoku University, Japan, where he also taught computer science from 2000-2003.

Head of Sales for GSET, Goldman Sachs

Todd is co-head of Sales Trading and head of International Sales for Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) in North America. He joined Goldman Sachs as a salesperson in Equity Electronic Trading in 2000. In 2003, he moved to London to assume responsibility for Electronic Trading Sales in Europe.

Todd relocated to Tokyo in 2005 to become head of sales for Electronic Trading in Asia. In 2007, he returned to the United States to head the GSET Boston office and lead the international sales effort for GSET. In 2008, he was named co-head of sales for GSET North America. Todd was named managing director in 2009. Prior to joining the firm, Todd worked at Bloomberg LP. Todd earned a BS in Finance from Boston College in 1996.

Delfos graduated from FGV, Latin America´s premier Business School in 1994, after having completed his schooling at the International School in Zurich. In December 2008, he started his own investment management firm, Dunamis Equity Partners, along with an in-house quant team. Prior to establishing Dunamis, he worked as head of proprietary Equity trading at Banco Santander in Sao Paulo and New York, as well as at Banco Itau-BBA in Sao Paulo. He also spent a year in Singapore at a Global Emerging Markets Hedge Fund, before returning to Brazil in 2007.

Stephen Murphy
Head of Brasil Global Banking and Markets IT, HSBC

Stephen Murphy is currently the Head of Brasil Global Banking and Markets IT for HSBC, prior to Brasil Stephen was based in NY for HSBC leading the Equities and Structured Products IT team. Stephen has lived and worked in different locations around the world including Hong Kong, New York, London, Zurich and now Sao Paulo. Before joining HSBC in 2005 Stephen worked at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Stephen participates in a number of charitable and philanthropic endeavors which have included a charity bike ride in China, completing the London marathon and the London triathlon through to mentoring college students on personal development.

Josh leads the global services team for Greenline and oversees all consulting activities and service offerings. The Professional Services team delivers solutions to organizations across the implementation lifecycle for electronic trading and connectivity, with a focus on FIX. Service offerings include advisory, advanced solutions, and process consulting. In total, Josh brings over 15 years of progressive consulting experience driving technology investment to business strategy and leveraging technology based solutions to drive process improvement.
Pablo Negro

Senior Analyst, MATba (Buenos Aires Futures and Options Exchange)

At the moment Pablo Negro is working at Mercado a Termino de Buenos Aires SA, he leads all projects related to electronic markets. A graduate in Information Systems Engineering who specializes in Software Engineering, Pablo also has a Magister degree in Information Technology. He is a teaching professional and researcher for the Universidad Abierta Interamericana and has published various papers related to the Object Oriented Paradigm.

  David Ng
Vice President, Client Connectivity, HSBC Securities (USA), Inc., Global Banking and Markets


Responsible for client on-boarding, certification, vendor management, and business development initiatives within the Americas region, enabling clients to trade Equities, Futures, or FX globally via FIX. Prior to HSBC, I held project management positions at Lava Trading, Bank of America and Instinet where I was responsible for implementing FIX Connectivity and electronic trading solutions across all products, including Direct Market Access and Algorithmic trading.

Jim Northey has over twenty years experience as a manager, consultant, and implementer in the financial markets. He is currently a partner in The LaSalle Technology Group, LLC, a Houghton, Michigan based engineering and products company focused on providing connectivity solutions for the financial markets.

Jim has been a very active leader and innovator in creating and promoting financial messaging standards by regularly contributing to the FIX and ISO 20022 standardisation efforts. He served as co-chair of the FIX Global Derivatives Committee from 2003 to 2005. Currently, he serves as the co-chair of the FIX America's Regional Committee and is the Industry Standards Liaison for FIX Protocol, Ltd. representing FPL on the ISO 20022 Requirements Management Group and Technical Support Group.

Jim holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Indianapolis and an M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology with an emphasis in Computational Finance. He periodically serves as an adjunct lecturer at Michigan Technological University - School of Business and Economics.

Rodrigo Oliveira

Rodrigo Oliveira is responsible for sales of Credit Suisse’s Advanced Execution Services (AES) to Latin American clients. The AES group designs and builds algorithms and systems capable of fully-automated trading based on client specifications. Algorithms based on thorough execution research and continuous live experimentation, performed by teams of Credit Suisse quantitative analysts and traders located throughout the globe. Prior to joining the AES team, Rodrigo was an equity research associate with the firm. He joined Credit Suisse in 2004 from Santander and is a graduate of University of São Paulo where he studied Computer Engineering.

Daniel Parke Daniel Parke
Managing Director, Agencia Estado

Daniel (Dan) Parke is the Managing Director of Agência Estado (AE) based in São Paulo, Brazil. AE is Latin America’s largest real-time news agency providing 15,000+ AE Broadcast terminals to finance professionals. Dan is the AE business unit head reporting to The Estado de São Paulo Media Group’s CEO. Estado is Brazil’s largest on-line & print media company publishing the Brazilian daily newspaper, Estadão. He is a member of Estado’s Executive Committee.

Prior to running AE, Dan was the Managing Director for Thomson Financial Latin America from 2004-2008. Before joining Thomson, Dan worked at Bloomberg for 13 years where he was responsible for initiating and running Bloomberg’s Latin American business.

Dan is member of The Nature Conservancy do Brasil (TNC) Board of Trustees & the Chairperson of The American School of São Paulo (Graded) Board of Directors. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in International Relations & Latin American Studies. His degree included course work at the University of Costa Rica, the Federal University of Ceará and UNICAMP.

Dan is a dual U.S. & Brazilian citizen.

David Polen David Polen
Director of US Product Marketing, Fidessa

David Polen is the Director of US Product Marketing at Fidessa. Polen has more than 10 years experience working at Fidessa and under his stewardship the Fidessa hosted trading platform has become an award winning trading solution. His remit includes algorithmic trading and HFT's, DMA and portfolio trading. David is a frequent commentator on market regulation and its effect on algorithmic trading. His last panel was FIAB in Chile.
Jitendra Puri Jitendra Puri
Vice President of Technology, Bolsa de Valores de Colombia

Jitendra is IT Vice President at Bolsa de Valores de Colombia (BVC) with proven thought leadership in the IT industry. As CIO at the exchange, he has lead successfully radical IT transformation at the exchange through strategic alignment of IT with the business priorities and by fostering collaborative environment and through empowerment and development of a high calibre team.

Before coming to the exchange industry, Jitendra held various senior positions in both consulting and line roles at fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett Packard and Cambridge Technology Partners after having made a mark for himself in Management/IT consulting at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting. He has advised senior management at large organizations both in Telecom and Finance sectors on how to leverage business and operational best practices to improve top line growth, operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.

Jitendra has a degree in Economics, PG in Computer Science, an MBA from University of Warwick Business School and interludes at Harvard and MIT.

Juan Manuel Quintero

Juan Manuel Quintero B. recently joined Interbolsa Brasil to run the international business unit. Previously he had worked with Bloomberg for L.P. for eleven years in different commercial and business positions.  His last role was Senior Market Specialist. Previously he was in charge of sales in different countries in Latin America. Juan has been a speaker in more than 200 seminars in technical analysis and other subjects related to financial markets in the LATAM region. He also has been a university professor in some universities in Colombia.  He has an MBA Degree from the University of Liverpool in UK, a degree in Economics from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.

 

Rodrigo Ramos Rodrigo Ramos

Rodrigo Ramos is Head of Client Services for ULLINK Latin America, a global software and services provider specializing in trading solutions and associated connectivity infrastructure. Rodrigo heads up ULLINK solutions including connectivity, order management and order routing networks throughout Latin America. Rodrigo has over twelve years of Information Technology experience, six of which were focused on working with FIX Protocol. Prior to ULLINK, Rodrigo worked for Citibank Brokerage House as a Project Manager. He was responsible for the firm’s DMA Project which enabled non-Brazilian investors to operate on the Brazilian Stock Market using FIX Protocol as an interface between customers and partners.

Steven serves as the Global Sales Manager of the Athena Transactions Platform and FIX Testing and Certification suite of products at Thomson Reuters.

As the Global Sales Manager, he has responsibility for selling the Thomson Reuters Athena product suite; which provides high performance, low-latency trade order management and liquidity aggregation solutions. He also has responsibility for selling the FIX Test Marketplace; an industry leading suite of FIX testing and Certification tools.

Prior to the 2010 acquisition of Aegisoft by Thomson Reuters, Steven was a partner at Aegisoft where he led the global sales team and was involved in Sales, Marketing and Product Development.

Steven has extensive knowledge of the financial markets. During his 10 years at Aegisoft, he was very involved with FIX and electronic trading; working with Hedge Funds, Buy-Side and Sell-Side firms, Banks, Market Data and Order Routing providers, Exchanges and ECNs. Early in his career, Steven worked for an Equity Trading firm in New York and then as a Commodities and Energy Trader.

Manoel C. V. Lopes is the CMA Financial Lab Coordinator, responsible for developing strategies for derivatives and algorithmic trading, such as TWAP, VWAP, BestOffer and SpreadMaker (Pair Trades). Furthermore he is a manager for a private investment fund, where all the strategies developed by CMA Algos are applied.

He is graduated in physics and has a master in the same area and a doctorate in electrical engineering. He has a large experience in the financial markets, developing technological solutions for the equities and futures trading markets.

Dan Watkins - Global, Business Development and Marketing Manager for CMA looks after the message communications, product, services, business development and trading relationships between US and European financial markets and the CMA client base in Latin America including exchanges, brokers/dealers, banks which account for 20,000+ licensed deployed workstations. His responsibilities also include the dissemination of market information and news regarding trading and market data of Latin American exchanges, while promoting new business to entrants and investors into the market place.

Dan has over 10 years experience in high-speed network based trading involving FIX and market data as the business manager of the MCI Money Line Telerate team, the MCI Nasdaq team, the MCI Financial Extranet team, the Director of Provider Development at BT Radianz where he implemented and oversaw Financial Service participant growth of over 35 derivatives exchange communities. Dan now looks after business development and marketing for CMA in New York bringing a variety of experience in how connectivity in the FIX world can peer with the proprietary and FIX enabled systems of the Brazilian, Mexican, Chilean, Colombian and other Latin American exchange communities for both Southbound - to Latin America and Northbound - to North America and Europe, trading.

Stephen has been involved in the financial services industry for over 25 years having started his career at Arthur Andersen and Co. in their Management Consulting arm and having worked in a number of Trading and Investment firms. He also spent 5 years in senior management positions at the London Stock Exchange being responsible for new markets development.

In 1995, Stephen was one of the founders of Tradepoint, backed by a consortium of investment banks and investment firms, which became the first fully electronic, centrally cleared stock exchange to trade equities across Europe.

Mr. Ziegelmann was an associate professor at Insper Education and Research Institute of IBMEC São Paulo’s and University of São Paulo’s MBA Programs during 10 years.

Mr. Ziegelmann has a vast experience in the Brazilian Capital Markets. Since October 2009, he has been the Managing Director of Equity Product Area at BM&FBOVESPA. Previously, Mr. Ziegelmann held the following positions: Director of the Itau Securities (2006-2009); Managing Director of Wealth Management Services for BankBoston (2002-2006); Director of Equities Management for BankBoston Asset Management (1997- 2002); and Executive Director of Investments for Banco Votorantim (1990-1977).

Dr. Zimmer is head for quantitative portfolio management and research of Itaú Unibanco's Asset Management group, Brazilian’s biggest private asset manager with more than 300Bi R$ AUM.

His responsibilities include quantitative support for the whole asset management group as well as the development of quantitative trading strategies. Since the acquisition of Bank Boston in Brazil, he also works as a manager of a quantitative hedge fund.

Mr. Zimmer came to Brazil in 2000 and joined Itaú Unibanco in 2002.

He gained his first experiences at Bank Gesellschaft Berlin in 1996 as quantitative support for the option trading desk.

Prior to his PhD studies in quantitative Finance he earned a Master in Business Administration from Ecole Superior de Toulouse (France) and a Master in Mathematics from the Technical University of Berlin.
