The Analyst should have knowledge of/skills in/experience with (in order of priority):
•        business administration, analysis, and support
•        equity derivatives and cash equities financial products, preferably other derivatives products as well (e.g., commodities, FXO, fixed income)
•        strong math, preferably including quantitative mathematics
•        SQL DB, preferably Sybase and stored procedures
•        MS Excel, preferably including VBA and financial models
•        XML, preferably FIX standards as well
•        end-user support and training
•        software development in any high level object oriented language, preferably Java
•        some accounting knowledge
•        some customer support

Description:

The Analyst will work out of the NYC office to provide business administration, analysis, support, training, requirements gathering, and documentation for all applications and business processes used by the GD (Global Derivatives) trading desks and their supporting business units. Additional responsibilities will include some backup end-user support. Domain knowledge of equity derivatives and cash equities financial products is required, and knowledge of additional derivatives products is strongly desired. The Analyst should be a college graduate (computer sciences or mathematics degree preferred) with excellent interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and a strong desire to learn all aspects of the business. Travel is required. Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French) is preferred.

Work Schedule
•        Initially train on and learn all general aspects of derivatives and IDB processes, initially sitting on all the individual GD Front-Office desks and supporting Middle- and Back-Office business units.
•        Research and provide business analysis of GD trading technology solutions.
•        Coordinate internal and external GD development efforts.
•        Document and coordinate support scaffolding for all GD internal and ISV applications.
•        Provide 2nd level application support for all of GD internal and ISV applications and escalate as necessary.
•        Provide customer support of GD trading technology solutions.
•        Investigate and expedite resolution of GD infrastructure and accounting issues.
