FTEN is expanding our team and looking for “A” players to support “A” clients.
Project Manager is a highly visible position reporting to FTEN’s Chief Technology Officer. Serving as the primary contact to FTEN's customers during the implementation phase of a project, a Project Manager collaborates and works directly with the other Project Managers, executive staff and other members of the project team in order to successfully build customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
Primary duties of a Project Manager include project plan development, resource need estimation, project plan execution, customer interfacing, internal and external reporting, creating and maintaining comprehensive project schedules, facilitating cross-functional project team meetings, accurately reporting project status in a timely fashion, and ensuring assigned tasks are accomplished so that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Serve as the primary manager for a customer relationship during implementation of projects.
* Clearly document customer needs and key success metrics to the FTEN project team.
* Collaborate with FTEN project team members to execute implementation plans
* Provide internal and external implementation status reports on a regular basis.
* Build strong relationships with customers that extend beyond the implementation phase.
* Identify new product and service opportunities within customer base.
* Oversee the development and tracking of project plans.
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION INCLUDE:
* Strong understanding of US equities, options and futures trading processes (order types, clearing process, trading rules, etc.)
* Strong computer literacy and the comfort, ability and desire to advance technically.
* Ability to accurately track multiple detail-intensive, interdependent tasks and ensure timely completion.
* Adaptable to changing requirements and ability to think well under pressure – capable of solving problems as they arise and mitigate new problems arising
* Commitment to build successful customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
* Demonstrated ability to lead projects from presales to final delivery.
* Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent problem solving, investigative and follow-up skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to properly document and handoff specific needs of a client cleanly to a support team.
* Technical Skills: Outlook, Excel (to help with reconciliation of trade activity during customer acceptance period), MS SQL 2005, Crystal Reports
OTHER BENEFICIAL SKILLS:
* Understanding of black box trading patterns and needs (high cancellation rates, high-speed data processing)
* Interest in acting as the final QA check for new product releases (max 20% of your time).
