Sr. Application Support Analyst

Experience:

Required skills and experience:
-Two or more year's experience as a Technical Business Analyst or Application Support Analyst for Equity Investment Management production applications.
-Extremely strong knowledge of the Equity Investment Management Business; Research, Portfolio Management and Trading, within the scope of both the Front and Middle Office.
-Strong experience working with Trading and Order Management Systems such as Longview or Charles River.
-Experience working with the ITG product for Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and the Portware Execution Management System (EMS) a big plus!
-Strong experience working with Sybase or SQL Server databases, and excellent Transact SQL skills.
-Strong experience supporting FIX electronic trading technologies and a proven ability to troubleshoot related issues.
-Familiarity with UNIX, preferably Sun Solaris but other flavors considered.
-Experience supporting Citrix and Citrix hosted applications.
-Experience working directly with Traders and Trade Support staff in helping them use technology solutions to best advantage.
-Experience capturing, recording and reporting on daily production incidents.

Description:

Asset Management firm is seeking a Sr. Applications Support Analyst. You should be able to take a leadership role and be a team player with the business and IT resources.
You also must be able to provide production support of the firm's Equity Investment Management Product Suite.
You should be a self-motivated and detail oriented individual who can work under pressure and take the initiative to see production issues through resolution. You will be asked to derive metrics from tools to be utilized at steering committee meetings and identify process improvement opportunities.
