Daniel Doscas joined HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. as senior vice president and America's business strategy officer and head of equity market structures. Based in New York , Doscas is responsible for all commercial and connectivity issues associated with HSBC's trading activities with the various exchanges, ECNs, ATSs, broker/dealers and other liquidity sources.
Through the hiring of industry leaders such as Dan, HSBC underscores its commitment to providing clients the best execution from a multi-market, multi-product and multi-asset class perspective. Dan's more than 20 years of financial services experience, punctuated by his commitment to advancing the industry's adoption of standard protocols, such as FIX, will enable HSBC to harness the best global technology across asset classes for its clients. His multi-asset class knowledge will help ensure HSBC products and services continue to be developed with our clients in mind, especially as they increasingly look at electronic liquidity access as a key service offering.
Most recently, Doscas was a senior vice president and head of global fixed income connectivity for Lehman Brothers. He also served as a director of global connectivity debt eServices at Merrill Lynch from 1993-2002. As a member of the Bond Market Association and FIX Protocol Limited (FPL), Doscas coordinated convergence efforts between FPL and the Bond Market Association in order to develop standard protocol solutions across fixed income products.
