Included in the basic cost of the Bloomberg Professional Service are many applications based on FIX connectivity.
Orders may be routed to, and IOI's and Advertised trades received from hundreds of broker dealers around the world.
Electronically routed orders as well as Execution Reports from "phoned-in" block orders can be received onto a central blotter in order to give you a central point from which you may work all of your orders. Direct access to Bloomberg's ECN, Bloomberg Tradebook is seamlessly integrated into the Bloomberg professional Service as well.
Your blotter may be downloaded from Bloomberg to a file for uploading into other types of applications.
All this, included in the price of a Bloomberg.
